Tenure – Type of Ownership.

TENURE DESCRIPTION
A Agreement of Sale – A written agreement between seller and purchaser in which the purchaser agrees to buy certain real estate and the seller agrees to sell upon terms of the agreement.
F Fee Simple – A type of ownership where the owner has maximum interest in the property (owns the land and the building(s)) which entitles the owner to use the property in any manner they choose in accordance with state and local laws.
G Govt (Government) Owned – Property is owned by the government.
X Lease from Federal Government – An arrangement in which an individual possesses a property on a long-term lease where the Government owns the property/land.  The individual owns the buildings ONLY.
L Leasehold – An arrangement in which an individual possesses a property on a long-term lease but does not own the property/land.  The Individual(s) owns the buildings ONLY.
R Remainderman – Person or organization who has Future Interest in the estate created by a trust, either as a contingent interest when a life tenant surrenders a claim to the estate, or a vested interest that becomes effective at a specified future date.
M State and Multi-Claimant – Owned by the state of Hawaii
