Video Tour Hosting by HIS

Video tours are already an important part of real estate marketing. But when emergency declarations limit whether and how many showings and open houses can be held to advertise a property, video tours become vital marketing tools.

We know finding a video tour host for your video files can be a challenge, as there are specific rules covering how they are displayed online — preventing them from being posted on YouTube, for example.

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to continue to conduct your business, even during shelter-in-place conditions. So Hawaii Information Service is introducing a new service: video tour hosting!

HIS MLS Video Tour Hosting is available for only $35 per video per MLS listing, plus tax! Each video will be hosted for one year or until the listing is sold, whichever comes first.

How to host your MLS Video Tours with HIS:

1. Obtain a copy of your unbranded video tour.

If you used a real estate video tour provider, they should already be providing you an unbranded and branded video tour. The unbranded video is included in the MLS, while you use the branded video for your direct and digital marketing. Most vendors both produce and host videos, and give you links (URLs) to videos to include with your listing. If your vendor does this, you may keep using the provided unbranded link in the MLS. If your vendor does not provide hosting, or if you produce your own video tours, we would be happy to host them for you.

2. Upload your video file.

Use the upload form below to upload your video to our ShareFile inbox. This service allows the transfer of very large files, since video files are too large to be sent by email. As part of the submission process, you will need to provide the MLS number for the property the video is for. Only one video can be hosted per listing, and should be submitted in complete form. HIS cannot edit or modify videos in any way.

If you see a ‘Session Storage Not Enabled’ error message, you will need to disable ad blocking or script blocking software on your web browser. Also, Mac users may need to use a browser other than Safari (like Chrome or Firefox).

3. We will contact you!

We will send you a video tour hosting application and agreement that you can sign digitally via DocuSign. Once signed, we will upload your video and provide you the URL to include in your listing. And that’s it! Your new rules-compliant video tour is now included in your listing and can be viewed by other agents and their clients!

You will be billed $35 plus tax for up to one year of hosting per video per MLS listing.

We’re here for you.
