User Submitted: Unable to enter exact price values. 45 automatically resolves to 45,000. How can I enter exactly 4500?

Live Search

Description:

I am unable to enter some prices into min price-max price search field. “4” is automatically resolved as 4,000. How can I enter 4,500? Why does it automatically resolve anyway? That’s not a good design. This is a number field and the system shouldn’t care what I want to search for, as long as i enter numbers – it should just do it.

This worked a couple months ago. I need the ability to perform analysis and make complex price searches – for example: search from 0-4999 and 5000-10000 and then 10001-15000… I am not able to do this anymore. Please help.

Answer:

When entering in low values into the price fields you can tell the system you would like exact values by using the $ or decimal cents.
Examples:

$4500
or
4500.00
